The Save Our Ginger Project is a community-driven agricultural restoration initiative dedicated to ending the devastation caused by ginger blight in Southern Kaduna. After years of massive crop losses that wiped out over 90% of ginger farms, we set out on a mission to bring healing, innovation, and hope back to the heart of Nigeria’s ginger-growing region. We combine cutting-edge microbiome technology, local research, and farmer-led action to provide practical solutions that restore soil health, strengthen ginger plants, and rebuild farming confidence. Our work is powered by a multidisciplinary team—crop protection scientists, AI engineers, drone specialists, and community storytellers—all united by one purpose: to help farmers rise again. Through demonstrations, field trials, cooperative partnerships, and farmer education, we are creating a scalable, sustainable pathway to revive the ginger economy. But more than that, we aim to restore faith, livelihoods, and generational wealth for thousands of families who depend on ginger farming. The land can heal. Farmers can rise. Communities can thrive again. Together, we can save our ginger.
